Founded by runners, for runners

Our story

We are Sam and Dan, two friendly runners from a fabulous little town in Yorkshire called Bingley.  We met at work, although, admittedly, Sam originally found Dan a bit strange, it was possibly his accent, but we soon bonded over our love for running.  Before long, we were entering all the races we could – work permitting – and of course the after race conversation always came back to what we loved about the race how we would do things if we were in charge…

In 2017, Sam was diagnosed with kidney disease and required quite a bit of surgery.  She began fundraising for Kidney charities.  This started with a virtual race but Sam decided that it was time to venture in to the world of organising road / trail races as it had been a dream for some time.  However, whilst Sam’s ideas are awesome, she sometimes needs reigning in and this is where Dan comes in handy.  With his brains and Sam’s brilliant ideas, Trail Snails was born.

Our aim is to bring you some fab races whilst raising money for charity.  We are not for profit.  All of our races are UKA licenced and have awesome finisher’s medals, with trophies for the podium finishers.

As qualified Run leaders, we also have a Run Together Couch To 5K beginners group in our local area so please check this out if you are local.

Charities we support:
